Marshall/Yuan tie for first with Keller/Moore in Spring Buddy Fun Hunt
Ties for both first and second place left four braces standing on the final podium for the 2013 Spring Buddy Fun Hunt at the Tulsa Bird Dog Association’s Buddy Fun hunt at the Tulsa Bird Dog Association’s trial grounds in Inola, Okla.
In the seventh and final brace Bill Yuan and Roy Marshall scoured the field till the last minute with Buddy and Randolph looking for the one bird that would give them full claim to the first place position. They never found it and instead ended with five birds to put them in a tie for first with Larry Moore and Stan Keller who set the mark in the fourth brace with Tip and Shiner.
Meanwhile Bill and Roy put down another solid run with Chief and the 7-month-old German Shorthair Pointer Rocket in the third brace to put them in a tie with Shane Bevel and Charlie Anderson who also brought home four birds in the 6th brace with Brownie and Zip.
New member TBDA Tom Bixby, of Edmond, entered for the first time with his big-running English Pointer named Deets. Bixby’s parents also stopped by with their Springer Spaniel to check out the action.
Next weekend the 2012 A Team and B Team of the Tulsa Bird Dog Association head for Missouri to compete in the club championship. We’ll have results posted on Sunday night right here on www.tulsabirddog.com.

And it will save us all from taking grief from the wife if we went. See you soon. Bob DornRead More ›
