March 23rd, 2013 Trial Results

In a rags to riches story Ben Faulkner and Shelly went from a score of zero in the March 9th trial to a first-place-winning score of  172 with four full finds in the seventh brace of the day. Keith Lindsay and Sonja also put down a score of 172, but a slow start and first find after the 6 minute mark lost him the top spot. In the first brace with a clean field Stan Keller put down a score of 144 with three full finds and a back to take third place. Full results are below.

The weather was cold and wet during the short trial day and scores were spotty over all with great scenting conditions benefitting some dogs and causing others to get caught up on feathers and old scent. Over in the puppy field Roy Marshall and Rocket cleared the field of all five birds in the first brace. Missed retrieves left Rocket with a score of 131 to beat Tom Alexander and Ace who put down a score of 86 with two full finds. The next field trial is April 6, 2013 at the TBDA Field Trial Grounds in Inola, Okla. Registration is open.
