2014 Oklahoma Gun Dog Championships Sunday Results

What a difference a day can make! Sunday it was all sunshine and blue skies at the TBDA Trial Grounds in Inola. The top eight dogs from yesterday’s competition regrouped and squared off to battle for the title of Top Dog 2014. The action started off slow as scenting conditions had changed considerably. A lack of wind and dry air caused some dogs to have issue, while others decided to take the day off and go for a run. In the end the title of top dog went to Kent Long’s Pointer, Stick, in a race decided by time of the first find with Brian Ahern’s Pointer, Aries, since both were tied up at 129. Gary Hanger’s Pointer, Lennie finished third place with a score of 86. Other scores are listed below.
